Bridalveil Creek is a tranquil little pathway that mostly serves as an entry point to some of the most gorgeous sights in Yosemite. The first half is a simple meadow, tranquil and bright, while the second half transitions into the gorgeous Bridalveil Creek, beginning its steady flow towards the Bridalveil Falls. It’s not, exactly, the most beautiful locale, nor is it the most enjoyable. But, it is crowd free, pretty, and exceedingly pleasant, making it the perfect hike for those who really do just want to get away from it all.
For the most part, this is a very easy trail. However, keep in mind that you will have to cross Bridalveil Creek at some point, and trees often fall in the forest that may block your way. Other than that, and the length, it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.
Hiking Time and Distance
While most will be taking quite a bit longer to finish the trip, considering its tranquil nature, one could easily finish this 6.6 mile/5.5 mile trek in 3-6 hours. But, as we say a lot, take your time to smell the daisies! It’s not worth rushing through this beautiful locale.
Best Time to Visit
One of the best parts of visiting Bridalveil Creek is the gorgeous wildflowers that sprout up during the early summer/spring, so we would recommend visiting then. This is when the region is at its most colorful, and it is also when you get the best eyeful.
