In Partnership with the Yosemite Conservancy, The Redwoods In Yosemite is pleased to present the following 2020 Ranger Programs in Wawona.
Ranger-guided interpretive programs can cover a variety of topics, including the park’s geology, human history, wildflowers, trees, astronomy, and bird watching. (And don’t forget to ask about the history of the Park Rangers’ famous hat!) These exciting Yosemite talks & walks are offered in all areas of the Park depending on the season and access. In the Wawona area, the following 2020 schedule applies:
The Evening Ranger Program (1 hour)
Every Tuesday starting on June 16, 2020 through September 1, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
The Park Ranger Nature Program (2 hours)
Every Saturday starting on June 20, 2020 through September 5, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
For both programs the meeting spot is at The Redwoods Weddings and Event Center located on 8038 Chilnualna Falls Road in Wawona, Yosemite National Park, California. No reservations are required. Please maintain social distancing and Covid-19 safety practices.
Looking for some more things to do?
You can enjoy Historic Wawona on your own too: The Wawona Museum and History Center, horseback riding at The Big Trees Stables, the Wawona Hotel and Golf Course are closed for summer 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however the Wagon Train Rides, the hikes to Chilnualna Falls (the second highest vertical fall in Yosemite) the historic swinging bridge and the pet friendly Wawona Meadow Loop are ready for you to explore! All of our homes are situated on or near the banks of the Wild and Scenic South Fork of the Merced River where you easily spend hours of swimming or fishing (activities are seasonal and weather dependent)! We have many pet friendly cabins! Our Wedding Garden and Event Center are perfect for a small wedding, family reunion or group retreat.
