In Partnership with the Yosemite Conservancy, The Redwoods In Yosemite is pleased to bring back and present the following 2022 Yosemite National Park Ranger Programs in Wawona.
Ranger-guided interpretive programs can cover a variety of topics, including the park’s geology, human history, wildflowers, trees, astronomy, animals and bird watching. (And don’t forget to ask about the history of the Park Rangers’ famous hat!) These exciting Yosemite talks & art crafts are offered in all areas of the Park depending on the season and access. In the Wawona area, the following 2022 schedule applies:
The Evening Ranger Program (1 hour)
Every Tuesday starting on June 14, 2022 through August 30, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. Meet at The Redwoods Fireside Room.
The Art In The Park Program (1 hour)
Every Saturday starting on June 18, 2022 through September 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Meet at The Redwoods Fireside Room.
For both programs the meeting spot is at The Redwoods Weddings and Event Center located on 8038 Chilnualna Falls Road in Wawona, Yosemite National Park, California. No reservations are required. Please maintain social distancing and Covid-19 safety practices.

All of our homes are situated on or near the banks of the Wild and Scenic South Fork of the Merced River where you easily spend hours of swimming or fishing (activities are seasonal and weather dependent)! We have many pet friendly cabins! Our Wedding Garden and Event Center are perfect for a small wedding, family reunion or group retreat.

Day One – Get to know Wawona! Our Front Desk staff will be happy to assist you with planning your day! Call us at 209-375-6666
Day Two – Pack a picnic lunch and hike the amazing Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias just few miles away. Then go for a ride on the historic Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad (mention you are guest of The Redwoods to get 10% off your train ride)!

Day Four – Head into Yosemite Valley (stop at the famous tunnel view and the spectacular Bridalveil Falls on the way) for history, waterfall hiking, dining and shopping and, of course El Capitan, the granite monolith that extend 3,000 feet from base to summit and one of the world’s favorite challenges for rock climbers.
Day Five – Dine out in one of the many restaurants in the Fish Camp, Oakhurst and Mariposa areas or get some water sports fun at Bass Lake.
Day Six – Head up to the high country and picnic in beautiful Tuolumne Meadows or at Tenaya Lake (Weather/Season permitting)!
Day Seven – Enjoy that last cup of coffee or stretch time by the South Fork of the Merced river or on your private deck before you leave Yosemite and The Redwoods. We know that you’ll be back again soon!
