Wawona Golf Course, built in 1918, is the first regulation course opened in the Sierra Neva, and is certainly a great destination for any golfer who appreciates the beauty of Yosemite National Park. Blending seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, this 9-hole, par-35 course is a cultural landmark, built with the beauty and poise that most courses can only hint at.
Wawona Golf Course measures 3,050 yards, all told, and offers two par-five holes, as well as three par-three holes. Furthermore, if you are looking to play a full game (18-hole) of golf, this Yosemite course also offers multiple tee positions, providing a par-70 18-hole format. Because of conditions, the course is only open from Spring to Fall, and may be closed time to time based on snow. Other weather conditions may apply.
Overall, Wawona Golf Course has been providing enjoyable, challenging, and scenic golf for nearly 100 years, and it isn’t about to stop now. So, if you are a golfer, and you are looking for a scenic landscape unlike any other, then Wawona Golf Course is a “can’t miss” locale in the heart of Yosemite’s natural beauty.
