Important Note for 2024: Yosemite National Park requires reservations to enter the park on select dates, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in April, May, June, August, September and October, and every day from July 1st, up until August 16, 2024. Fortunately, guests staying at The Redwoods In Yosemite Vacation Home Rentals, are not subject to this reservation system because all cabins are in Wawona, inside the park. If you have a valid Redwoods In Yosemite cabin reservation, simply show a copy of your booking confirmation (a screen capture is OK too), and a photo ID matching the reservation. You’ll be able to pay the entrance fee at the gate with a credit or debit card.

Starting mid August, the park visitation diminishes and there is less hustle in the valley for parking and services. The trails are not as busy, and the weather allows for more pleasant hikes and walks outside. The entire month of September is still great for biking, hiking, horseback riding, high country trekking, kayaking, and all of the outdoor fun Yosemite National Park can offer. Although most of the waterfalls are dwindling by the end of September, Vernal and Nevada Falls continue to show a decent display of water and Tioga Road would most likely remain open during this time, so you’ll be able to enjoy a day in the crisp Alpine air of Tuolumne Meadows.
